Country Style Steak (Keto Approved)
Country Style Steak: Great for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! Recipe by @ketohailz - Instagram Recipes Serving: 4 People Carbs: 460 cals 2g net carbs
Ingredients:
- 4 cube steaks, 4 oz each
- 2 oz pork rinds, (I used porq brand Italian seasoned)
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1/8 tsp xanthan gum
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
- Season cube steaks, mix almond flour & pork rinds, whisk your egg.
- Dip steak into egg and into breadcrumb/flour mix
- Fry in a shallow amount of oil, too much oil has caused my breading to fall apart, I wanna say this took me about 7 minutes on each side depending on the thickness of the steaks
- Fry your mushrooms in the remaining oil
- Take a tbsp of your frying oil into a separate pan and completely mix in the xanthan gum
- Once mixed with no lumps add in either cold water and beef bouillon or beef broth, I also like to add pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning
- Add in mushrooms, let this simmer for about 5-7 minutes until desired thickness
- Pair with cauliflower mash or rice and serve!
