Country Style Steak (Keto Approved)

Ingredients:

  • 4 cube steaks, 4 oz each
  • 2 oz pork rinds, (I used porq brand Italian seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1/8 tsp xanthan gum
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. Season cube steaks, mix almond flour & pork rinds, whisk your egg.
  2. Dip steak into egg and into breadcrumb/flour mix
  3. Fry in a shallow amount of oil, too much oil has caused my breading to fall apart, I wanna say this took me about 7 minutes on each side depending on the thickness of the steaks
  4. Fry your mushrooms in the remaining oil
  5. Take a tbsp of your frying oil into a separate pan and completely mix in the xanthan gum
  6. Once mixed with no lumps add in either cold water and beef bouillon or beef broth, I also like to add pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning
  7. Add in mushrooms, let this simmer for about 5-7 minutes until desired thickness
  8. Pair with cauliflower mash or rice and serve!
